Fort Ward Park contains both recreational areas and a historic area commemorating the park's Civil War namesake. The historic area includes a museum, which is a replica of a building in the fort during its service, and the surrounding area is the site of many war reenactments. The park contains an amphitheater that hosts concerts on Thursday nights in the summer and is home to the Virginia Scottish Games in September. It is located in the Bradlee neighborhood, on the west end of Alexandria and about four miles southwest of Arlington National Cemetery.
