Green Spring Gardens allows visitors to see, enjoy and learn about the natural beauty of northern Virginia and the impressive horticultural techniques that bring a garden to life. Wander through 20 different themed outdoor gardens or walk the short path through the verdant woods that are rife with ponds, wildlife and native plants. Stop in the greenhouse where the walls seem about to burst with vivid tropical plants and take a tour of the 1784 historic home on the property where an art gallery and horticulture-based gift shop are held. Located outside of town near Pinecrest Golf Course, it's only about seven miles from Old Town to this lovely outdoor site.
